On Saturday, May 12th, the 36th Tartu Forest Marathon's children’s events will take place in Tartu Tähtvere Sports Park. Online pre-registration opened Monday, May 7th and participation is free of charge for all the children.

When last year over 4000 children participated in the 35th Tartu Jooksumaraton, then this year the new record is expected - both because of the unexpected summer weather and the Mother's Day (that is celebrated the next day, on Sunday), which invites the whole family to spend their time together.

In addition to running events on Saturday there will be an opportunity to have fun on trampolines by Lõunakeskus and eat candy floss. Balbiino will also offer ice cream. Furthermore, there will be Sportland's tent and Lastefond's tent with possibility to play there and take pictures with their mascot. Different souvenirs will also be sold in collaboration with FIFAA.

The first start of the children's events will be given at 11am on Saturday at a distance of 400 meters for the youngest sports enthusiasts in the TILLU running races. In addition, it is possible to choose a 850-meter distance. Older children can test themselves in a 2-kilometer distance in the MINI running races. Children's races are also held on Sunday, May 13th, in Otepää and Elva.

Pre-registration is opened on Club Tartu Maraton's website from Monday till Thursday (May 10th). There will also be possible to register in the 36th Tartu Forest Run's race centre in Lõunakeskus on May 11th from 12am to 7pm. At starting points children can be registered one hour before the first start.

Pre-registered can get their numbers on Friday, May 11th from the race centre. Registration to the Otepää and Elva runnings will take place only at the starting points.
