In the history of Tartu there is a lot worth remembering – from individual events, to different buildings up to inventions and historical events that changed the world. All this does not end with this year or this decade – therefore, this year’s Tartu Hanseatic Days also involve the future for the children, the future inhabitants of Tartu.

July This year the festival is very special, because it brings into life three different ages – the ancient times in Jõelinn (The River Town), medieval times in the Jaani linn (Jaani Town) and Estonian national awakening times in Raelinn (Rae Town). The Hanseatic Fair is to be connecting these different ages, events and people inside the towns.
